At Hogarth Chocolate Makers, we craft exquisite chocolate from the finest SLAVE FREE cacao beans sourced globally. Our small factory in Nelson allows us to create small batches using traditional methods. We meticulously sort, roast, crush, winnow, grind, conche, age, melt, temper, mold, and wrap our chocolate by hand, ensuring every piece is a labor of love. By using minimal ingredients, we focus on preserving the natural flavors of cacao, delivering a taste that is often lost in mass production. Partnering with Ana Aceves of Sugarcube Studios, we’ve developed a unique chocolate bar and packaging that tells the story of Karl's journey from sailor to chocolate maker, highlighting the cacao's voyage to our shores.
